Privacy and cookies
How this publication handles browsing information, search, email, and shopping links.
Effective and last updated: Oct 27, 2026.
Who is responsible
Everyday Measured is an independent buying publication operated by Jill Svenson. This notice explains what happens on this website and when you contact us. Privacy questions and requests: contact@everydaymeasured.com.
Browsing and technical logs
We do not have visitor accounts, a newsletter signup, analytics scripts, advertising pixels, embedded shopping widgets, or a payment form. Images, fonts, styles, scripts, and the search index are served from this website.
Our DigitalOcean hosting server receives the information needed to deliver a page: your IP address, request time, requested URL, response status, and browser information such as the user agent and referring page when sent. Access and error logs are used for site operation, troubleshooting, and security, not advertising profiles.
Cookies, browser storage, and your choices
This website does not set cookies or use localStorage or sessionStorage. It does not load third-party tracking scripts. Your browser may keep ordinary copies of pages and assets in its cache and retain visited URLs in its history. You can manage cookies, cache, and history through your browser settings.
We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. There is no on-site advertising profile to opt out of. A browser privacy signal does not switch off essential page delivery or server security logging.
Search terms
Search uses an index downloaded to your browser. There is no external search provider. A term can appear in the search-page URL, browser history, and server request logs when that URL is requested. Please avoid entering sensitive personal information into search.
Amazon and other destinations
Your browser contacts Amazon through this site only when you choose an Amazon link; we do not preload its pages or send a hidden affiliate request. Shopping links contain one of the tracking IDs assigned to this publication. They distinguish referrals from different editorial topics. A tracking ID is shared by readers of a given article. Amazon can associate a qualifying referral with that ID. After you leave this site, Amazon receives ordinary request information and may use cookies, account activity, and other identifiers under its own policies. We do not receive your Amazon password or payment details. If affiliate links are enabled, Amazon may make referral and commission reports available to the publication; we remain separate from the seller and its order-support service.
Review Amazon’s Privacy Notice and the choices available in your Amazon account and browser. Our shopping-link disclosure explains the current commission status.
Email and service providers
If you email contact@everydaymeasured.com, we receive your address, the message, any attachments you include, and technical mail headers. We use this information to answer the request, investigate a correction, and keep the necessary follow-up record. Please do not send passwords, payment information, identity documents, or other sensitive details.
Incoming mail is forwarded through Cloudflare Email Routing to the operator’s Google/Gmail mailbox. DigitalOcean processes hosting information; Cloudflare and Google process mail as part of delivering and handling it. The private destination address is not a separate public contact. These providers may process information outside your state or country under their applicable terms. We may also disclose information when required by law or necessary to address a specific security or legal issue.
How long information is kept
The server is configured for daily log rotation when a log is nonempty, with an active file and up to ten rotated files retained. This is a file-rotation limit, not a promise that every entry is deleted after ten calendar days; timing depends on traffic and successful scheduled rotation. Older entries leave the rotation as files are replaced. A relevant security record may be retained while investigating an incident or meeting a legal requirement.
Email is kept while needed to handle the request, make any resulting editorial correction, and manage necessary follow-up. We review whether a record is still needed and delete it when those purposes end, except where a specific legal or security reason requires retention. Mail-provider trash, recovery, and backup processes can delay final removal. No fixed mailbox deletion period is represented as an automatic setting.
Privacy requests
Email contact@everydaymeasured.com with the subject “Privacy request.” Describe the information or interaction involved and whether you want access, correction, or deletion. We may ask for limited information needed to locate the record and confirm that it belongs to you; please do not send identity documents unless a lawful and necessary verification step has been explained.
Your rights and response requirements depend on the law that applies to you and the operator. We handle requests in accordance with those requirements and explain if a legal obligation or another person’s rights limit what we can provide or delete. You can also contact the relevant privacy authority where applicable. We cannot act on records controlled by Amazon; use Amazon’s own privacy options for those records.
Children and security
This publication is intended for general adult buying decisions and does not offer children’s accounts or collect information through a children’s service. A parent or guardian who believes a child has sent personal information can contact us to request review and appropriate deletion.
We use HTTPS and restrict access to operational systems. No method of transmission or storage can guarantee complete security. Share only what is needed for your request.
Changes to this notice
We update this page when our practices change and revise the date above. A new analytics service, tracking technology, form, or other material change requires a fresh review of this notice and any choices or consent required by applicable law.
